setting up a sat nav

I have just purchased a Tom Tom 1 and when I was setting it up I ommtted to put in my home address, is there any way I can delete the input and start again.

An episode of The Hustle on BBC showed how a thief getting your car keys and finding your satnav in the car, can drive straight to your house and let himself in!

They recommended that you do not put your home address in.

HI Linda,to change home address switch on tom tom press to bring up nav to page and press change preferences next press blue arrow then you can touch change home address.IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT THIEVES GETTING TO YOUR HOUSE PUT A POST CODE IN A NEARBY STREET NOT YOUR OWN.YOU WILL KNOW THE RIGHT WAY.

lets be honest if you dont put a home address in ( or near ) it would be a pointless bit of technology , unless you drive for a living most of your journeys will involve your home address and without that how is going to do its job ? most sat navs and im sure tom tom is one can be pass word protected .
