over 70's re-tests ?
did any of you fill in the answerbank poll on the above subject, personally i think the 20 to 35 year olds should be re-tested, from what i see and hear this is the age group that cause most accidents, and no i am not over 70, just a responsible driver, with max' no claims, but who's premium seems to rise every year, probably paying for others.

Retest all who cause an accident or caught speeding, i think this would make the roads safer.

In my road of seven houses, nearly all are over 60, one person 100+, another 85, all drive as there is no bus service within a mile and even then only a couple a day, Shops are few and far between, nearest a mile away.
I am over 70, drive an automatic, and as town, hospital and other main services as about six miles away, it is virtually impossible to attend appointments etc. if you cannot drive.
Personally I would like to use a bus service, its free, more environmentally friendly, however, the first one in the morning is not until after 9am, next 2 hrs away, the same for a return. Taxis are ultra expensive.
I do agree regular eye tests are essential.
