Is it possible for 1 person to have 2 current & valid driving licences? Containing the same name, but different address?

It is possible to have 2 licences showing different addresses, but only the last issued is valid.
Report the original as lost at the same time as notifying a change of address.

A friend of mine who lives in NI has a Northern Ireland license and a southern Ireland one.
