mobile camera on cars fines
A colleague of mine heard on LBC this morning that if you receive a parking fine from one of those mobile camera units (on top of a car) that you may not have to pay it.
Does anyone know what the radio article was about? And what the details are?
Husband got a ticket through for parking his van on a pavement (which seemed sensible at the time since parking his huge van in the road although legal would have blocked off half the road!)

There was a lady on GMTV this morning who has a shop (Brighton I think) she always parks on double yellow lines to unpack stock etc from her car, usually without a problem.
However a few months ago she was issued with 3 parking tickets within a week and didn't know anything about them until the notification popped through the letter box! She successfully won her case as ther was no signs warning about cameras in operation and she was unloading her car outside her business.
