Hi Kate
Having bother again?
I think I could see myself parking in a disabled spot outside someone's house...but...only if I had a blue badge, had good reason to park there (like I was visiting them) and if there was nowhere else to park.
Sorry for your trouble.
ladyalex :-))
lady alex he says he will continue parking there until it is illegal,he says why should i have a private parking spot cause my son is my designated driver
Go out take a photo of his car and drop him a nice line saying that you're sure it's a mistake but if the mistake happens again you'll have no option but to send a letter and the photo to the local paper and the local police authority.
Opposite where I live is a Disabled bay. The area is close to a local shopping parade so cars come & go all day.
A few years ago the local council decided to put some yellow lines outside a few houses to stop parking close to corners. Unfortunately these lines were outside a house where a disabled driver lives so they put her a specific bay at the end of the yellow lines. However if she is not there any number of cars - sometimes disabled sometimes not - park in the bay.
As a side note the bay has meant a 'neighbour war' with the disabled lady and her neighbour who has the bay outside her house - consequently they haven't spoken since
puternut, this has caused an argument here as well, they dont speak to me now,but i still cant park,i can see them hiding behind their curtains to see if i do anything
Hi Kate, I had the same problem in the last community house I worked in, there where 3 wheelchair bound males, I now care for a male in his 40s, at time I try not to use the Disabled bays as the person can walk his problem, hemiplegia, But there are some Ignorant Bsds out there.
my son cant park the car there as he is the only neighbour who disputes it,he said if the space is empty he will park his 'own' car in it,he is being like this because i asked him if he could leave the parking space for me and he said no,he has a garage to park in ,we all have one but it;s to far for me to walk
