Condensation

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of excessive condensation in a car ?
My windscreen has so much of it on the inside - & I just can't seem to get rid of it !!!
If I try wiping it off - it just mists up & keeps coming back !

Your Windscreen Heater should do that by blowing Hot Air from the Dashboard Vents. Check it out.

probably some damp inside the car somewhere,
have a feel round the floormats, esp where you have got in with wet feet, also what have you done with the dusters that you have used to wipe the screen, if left inside they will cause condesation, as REDMAN says your dash blower should clear it , if not start looking for water ingress, Can be a bu55er to find though.

Thanx Logic - I don't think I have any water coming in - although I do tend to leave the wet cloth in there !
What I'm most concerned about is now it's started freezing up - I don't want to have to scrape the inside of the windscreen as well as the outside !

You may have a leak from your heater matrix which will be under the dash somewhere, it is a housing which contains a heat exchange unit and control flaps and swithches etc, if it is leaking then you will have the condensation problem. Do you have to top up the water in the header tank at all, if so this could be another indication, as well as sometimes having a curry type of smell in the car.

Sorry, just realised Darren has already suggested this, although I wouldn't use Radweld as someone else suggested as it just blocks up the rad matrix, I used to be a Radiator repairer some years ago so have seen it from the inside...

Is this a particular problem with specific motors, or just any car ?

on a really dry day u should leave all the windows open to try and get rid of the water inside the car. the through draft will dry it out. I tried this and it really worked!!

Just keep an eye on it. Just even openin the windows just a little bit would work. But honestly this is the best way. x

What car do you have?

Many cars get water ingress, some worse than others and rain water finds it's way in many different ways, having just a damp cloth will cause condensation.
