Hi guys,I have been paying income tax on my wages with a BR tax code for a few years now after being made redundant.I am 56yrs old and I draw a small pension from my last employers of 30yrs,do you think I am on the wrong code, many thanks.
When you have other incomes such as a pension, wages are usually taxed at basic rate (BR). You may want to call HMRC to discuss your individual tax situation to check you are on the right tax code. They could then always issue form P6 to your employer if the tax code is wrong.
