electric aerial removal for mazda mx5

anyone know how i free the electric aerial from the top mounting ( where the aerial passes through the wing ) on my 2001 mazda mx5 sport
i need to remove it from the car
i have done the obvious one at the bottom where the bracket is held on by a nut to the slotted plate in the bottom of the boot but cant figure out how the top one is supposed to come off
any suggestions would be appreciated

just pull it down through the top bush, it should only be a push fit

its a ball and socket type fit,

if it is its very tight !
theres a slot in the top socket and two locating pegs on the aerial can be seen in the slot are these anything to do with it do you think ?

try locating pointed pliers in the slots and undo

yep thats the one
unscrewed it with the point of a pair of circlip pliers in each slot
