If a trade ad for a car said 12 months mot but when you got there the guy said it gets the mot when the cars been paid for has he misrepresented the car and commited an offence under the Trade Description Act?
Thanks
quite a common car sales practice, it might still have a few months MOT on it, but its sold with a new full 12 months MOT & they are not going to do this until the deals done in case the finance was refused or the deal falls through, cant really see what the problem is...
What, you mean they don't have to MOT it the day they put it up for sale and then re-MOT it every single day afterwards until it's sold to ensure it's always got a, current, up-to-date 12months MOT on it.
If you can afford, although what has been said is right, I would get the car re-tested the same day in poss! Why? there are tests & there are tests! Do you get my meaning?
