Mid Lane Hoggers reaction....

On my way home last night.. a woman was driving along in the middle lane.. overtaking nothing...

I drove up behind her in the middle lane.... and flashed at her to 'KINDLY PULL OVER cos you are in the overtaking lane and overtaking nuffin'....

She looked in her mirror at me.. waved her arms about - and stayed put!!!

WHAT ON EARTH did she mean by waving her arms at me eh???

She really obviously thought she was perfectly right to be in that lane!!!

Dont you sometimes wish you were an unmarked cop car!!!!

Most of them are frankly too incompetent to drive on motorways, and stay there because they are frightened of lorries.

what speed where you/her going? Why did you flash? what was on the left? generally flashing someone induces rage, you must know that, why did you not use the outside lane, ie the O V E R T A K I N G lane not hard is it? If you are not dawdling the middle lane is the correct lane.

maybe instead of questioning her driving you should have a closer look at yours..

1 if the left hand lane is empty then the middle is the safest faster drivers can overtake either side.

2. If the left is busy then it is very dangerous to zig zag up the road so stay in the middle.

ie drive in the middle, end of.

Conventional opinion on this is totally wrong.

Oh dear I'm really dealing with pygmies here. derrr. if you are in a lane and you come up to some slower traffic on the right you can go past. If you change lanes to the left in order to overtake then that is wrong. You really need to learn some road craft.

Nosha, perhaps you should examine your own driving before criticising others. IMO people who are of the opinion that their driving is perfection are generally over confident and therefore dangerous.
