Rolls Royce (Flying Angel?)

My friend has what she thinks is a Flying Angel which was used in a Rolls Royce showroom. I've been to see it and it is mounted on a marble plinth and stands about two feet in height and is extremely heavy, it's possibly made from brass although the colour looks more silvery to me. When her husband was alive she thinks he bought it from America. As she is probably having to downsize she wondered if it was worth anything and how she would go about selling it (preferably not Ebay), possibly to a Rolls Royce enthusiast. I said I would pose the question on Answerbank to see if anyone could help. Many thanks to anyone who can help. I will keep checking this post to see if anyone can help.

Does this help

if it has Charles Sykes signature on the base looks like it's worth a decent amount.

Hi bushbaby_de, Yours looks like a lovely Australian beach if your avatar is a clue.
Persoanlly,
I would consult your nearest local(reputable) auction rooms for a valuation. If it's too big to take to them,if they are a genuine concern, they will send someone to look at it.
Motor memoribilia is big business these days,so just be careful who and how you sell it.
Its actually Meeru in the Maldives, it was lush :)

Thank you Mr Veritas for your comments. It was not something I had thought about, but you're right, they are always unscrupulous people ready to rip you off, especially as my friend is a widow and doesn't know anything about the value of the 'lady'.

bushbaby_de, I was so sure it musty be Australia. Have you been there? If you have I bet you didn't want to come home.
I'm too scared to sit on an airplane long enough to go to Australia!!!

I don't mind flying, but you're right it's a long time to be in an aeroplane to get to Australia. I f we had the money we could go by Sea and have a long leisurely holiday before we got there.
