In terms of cost per mile, what is the going rate that I should expect an employer reimburse me for vehicle (car) mileage expenses?

My employer pays 21p per mile unladen and 38p per mile laden
Iwork for the NHS, and it depends upon engine size and number of miles driven for work purposes. I've got an 1800, and used to get 53p per mile. As I now do over 100 miles a month, I qualify for 'Regular User' allowance and get a lump sum of 63, and 40p per mile. Which looking at the other two answers is pretty good. But then again, my NHS salary is crap.
