Renault Clio 2003 Brakes locking
Ive recently passed my test and have got a clio. It seemed in a good condition but I took it into a garage to have it checked over and they changed the brake pads. It was fine for several weeks but 3 or 4 times recently the brake feels like theres a brick under it when I press it ands doesnt respond at all but if I press it again seconds later its fine. This scared the life out of me but thankfully I wasnt going too fast at the time and was able to slow down safely. I took it to the garage and they took it for a test drive and the same thing happened whilst they were driving. They put it on some machine and said I needed a new sensor. I had the work done and drove the car for a couple of days with no problem until today when it happened again. Before I pay more money which I dont have (being a student) any ideas of what may be causing this?

Look ... When you get air in the brake lines, you get a spongy pedal with a lot of travel, or it goes straight to the floor easily. You do not get a pedal like a brick symptom.
There is probably a fault within the ABS unit. I feel for Claire because these are expensive. She would have to get a 2nd hand one.
