My son's car keys have gone missing at work (supermarket) they are in his jacket pocket which has gone missing, its possibly been picked up by a colleague, or a customer or its ended up in the back of the delivery wagon. We've got a spare but I'm really worried that someone could go to the car park and steal the car, he's going to check the cctv footage and see if he can find anything out from that but is it possible to get the key and car re-programmed rather than have to pay fro the locks changing? And does anyone know how much it would cost to change the locks- its a 1 year old corsa ? TIA

Yes the lost key can be programmed out. They would still be able to enter the car but not start it.
Good auto locksmiths or dealer.

Thanks BillyB- hoping that we can get them back but given him a steering lock for now
If they were going to steal the car, it would have gone by now.

The jacket will turn up. Relax.
Most likely someone`s picked up the wrong jacket rather than nicked the keys
for future reference it may be worth asking your insurers if they do a policy for your keys.

my broker offer a policy which would cover the replacement of all locks of any keys on my keyrings (house, work, cars, shed)
My sons insurance offers keycare for £10 per annum. You get a special keyfob to put on, it covers any house keys also atached to the keyfob.
