I am going to paint the fibreglass lid of my old Suzuki Jeep with Hammerite. Years ago I was told that using Hammerite Thinners (to thin and clean brushes) was unnecessarily expensive and that I could use ".............." Problem is, I've forgotten what that ".........." is! I don't think it was cellulose thinners or white spirit but it might have been meths. Sadly the car shop is long gone.
Does anyone out there know for sure, please?

I've had a quick look and it seems acetone will thin it so nail varnish remover will do the job.
Standard Thinners from a autopaint suppliers is ok .. as is brushwash.
Rip-off .. hammerite thinners.
I used to use petrol to thin Hammerite. Good for cleaning the brushes too.
