Fiesta Radio

Just had a new battery fitted to my 2002 Fiesta,
and my radio is asking for the code.
I have the code, but after entering it, I am not sure what to do to get the radio to accept it.
It is the CD/radio 6000CD RDS Eon.
No matter which button I press it either goes back to asking for the code or it says wait 30.00 minutes.
I am obviously doing something wrong, but I haven't the instruction book to help me.

Thanks albags, but I am not seeking the code, I have got that, it is just what do I do after entering the code.

Sounds like you have the wrong code

I found these instructions by googling:

After powering up, the display will show CODE. Input the code using preset keys 1-4, followed by preset 5 to enter.

If LOCK 10 is displayed, keep stereo tuned on and wait for the unit to display code. This takes around 1-30 hours :eek Normally 30 mins tbh

Sounds like you are not using correct code.
You know for sure it is correct?
You using a separate button to enter it?

It looks as though I might have the wrong code ( it was in the Service book ).
I have done what Hopkirk suggests but it just says 'wait 30 minutes'
