Whats the joke about car tax rates this year?
Hi
i just got my reminder for my nissan which ive had for 3 years.
last year it cost £175, this year they want £200
An increase of £25. yet if you look at this table showing 2009 and 2010
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/car-tax-change
catagory I goes up £25 but catagory H below goes up just £5
Yet even dumber catagory J and L which are more polluting are going up by just £20.
So why should i have to pay more of an increase for cars above mine in the pollution scale??

Band J can emit anywhere between 0.05% and 13.6% more CO2 than Band I yet VED costs 17.5% more than Band I at the new rates.
Band L can emit anywhere between 21.5% and 44.9% more CO2 than Band I yet VED costs 112.5% more than Band I at the new rates.
As for Band H - a car can emit up to 10.3% less CO2 and VED costs 10% less.

you cant beat our government for the logic they apply to things, you car probaly has the most drivers there for make more money.
at least your paying just £200 i got another £45 on top of that.
another note, i saw a sticker on a car which read "please don't steal as the government doesnt like competition".
