car insurance new driver

new driver...23yr old female...what insurance category should i stick too for buying a car...? obviously the lower the better...but in general what the highest before i probobly cant get insured...5? 6?- for the time being ill be on my dads insurance.. im aware that i would have to pay through the nose for some cars...just looking for opinions

It is now so easy to get a quote online – once you find a car you like, check out the comparison websites to give you an idea of the likely cost of insurance.

Prior to buying my current car, I checked out what the insurance would be before even contemplating parting with any money.

Just to make you jealous - when you become an old fart like me, you will be amazed at the cost of fully comprehensive insurance on a 4.7L, V8, 235BHP vehicle. When I was young, I could only dream of being able to afford the third party insurance on a 100BHP car (and in those days, 100BHP was considered powerful).
