You have heard about the scams regarding bogus Insurance claims? do you think you could see the signs of this happening to you? what would you look for? what would you carry with you to help you, has it happened to you?

It hasn't happened to me but I decided that that's what I'd do if it did.
They mainly involve engineering rear end shunts and they mainly target old buffers with no reactions. Essentially if you drive as recomended you should be able to stop in time.
A lot of these put-up jobs take place on a roundabout junction. The villain's car begins to move off into a large gap in the traffic; you check right and see plenty of space and begin to move off, assuming the lead car has gone. But no, he slams on his brakes and deliberately gets rear-ended by you.

Remember the Golden Rule at these junctions ; 'Last Look Left' before moving off.

Not correct - they tend to target large fleet operators
