peugot 206 accelaration problem

i have recently brought a peugot 206, and we have started to experience a loss in accelaration, for no apparent reason. This does not happen every time, and on a couple of occasions there has been smoke coming out of the exhaust.

I am not a mechanic in any way but this has happened to me, it is possible that your carburattor could be blocked by having dust etc or if you car has a turbo, its possible your turbo could be loose or the pipe has come off.  My diesel car's turbo pipe came off and I lost accelaration and smoke was coming out my exhaust.
