Alloy Wheels
I have An Audi A6 2004 with about 10,000 miles. One month ago I noticed a rough ride. Audi stated I bent a rim and replaced it with the spare rim. 3 weeks later, I noticed the ride getting rough again. Audi inform me all the rims are bent now. I have been driving the same or similiar roads for the last 25 years and have never bent a single rim. Audi states I am responsiable for replacement. Are Audi Alloy Wheels more prone to bending than other manufacturers? Are Audi Alloy Wheels made of a softer mix that makes them more prone to damage? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Chances are that your wheels are very big (e.g. 16 or 17") and have very low profile tyres on them (e.g. 205/45 R 16). This would mean that the wheel is physically closer to the ground than more normal wheels, especially other cars over the past 25 years. Are there any potholes, curbs, speed bumps etc., that you go over?
