Question Author
or also known as lambda sensor...wilkesneil
yes..missed it in there.
are 1 of the injectors blocked???
if 1 is blocked it only sprays fuel through like a jet rather than flowing the fuel through..
just a thought..... if not bang a bit of redex injector cleaner through
Well I answered this before, and you never replied.
There is an order for checking out problems like this.
So that's that.
my m8 had an oxygen sensor fitted to his mk4 golf and had to have the system reset. have you done this??
what he had to do was disconnect the battery for 20 mins and then start put it back together. this sorted the problem of hesitation in power.
also it could be throttle body/ valves/ seals etc...
Your mate just dumped the minor fault codes from the ecu. Major ones stayed there.
I expect he did not want to go to the expense of connecting to VW diagnostics and doing it properly.
Once on an ecu baseline, the ecu goes through a learning process. Sometimes this process is stipulated in a manual.
