manual needed for FORD ESCORT CABRIOLE

I need the manual for a H reg ford escort cabriole. not the Haynes one, I need the one that would have come with the car that shows the workings of the electric hood. the Haynes one dosnt. any help?

The Ford manual is obsolete now .. although you may find a supplement on eBay. Idon't have that one, sorry .. Just RS/Cosworth stuff.
What's the problem?

thank you both for your responses the problem is I cant get the hood to go down electronicly ( sorry about spelling lol) the motor is in the boot but no power going from the switch at the front to the motor. It goes down manually ok but it is to hard for me to do it on my own. the hood was like this when i bought the car otherwise the car is in prestine condition.

The Mk4 uses add-in looms in addition to the basic car loom.
There will be a relay I think that is connected/energised with the switch. Check the feed to/from it.
Mk 4 fuseboxes are known for bad fuse connections.Check those too, but the Cab may have an add-in fuse on the relay or added elsewhere. I just can't remember the details!

thank you albags i think it will have to go into garage and get fixed, but i wont bother now until next year the hood dosnt come down much in winter.
