Probably not the entire car, since the only difference in most is the engine itself. The diesel engine, assuming it's an engine originally designed for diesel sevice and not a 'remanufactured' gasoline powered engine, are generally more reliable. This is because a complicated ignition system is not required, and because the higher compression requires heavier duty blocks and cylinder heads. Some unique service requirements pop up though. Injectors need regular servicing, and pity the person whose friend borrowed thier car and put gasoline in the tank rather than diesel fuel...
