spray paint removal

Someone has sprayed white spray paint at the back of a friends motorhome. Has anyone got any idea what to use to get it off without damaging the colour.The police are going to get back to him as to what they use for there vehicles if sprayed but just wondered if anyone had come across this . Thanks for any ideas.

...but it will probably make the area of removal more shiny than the rest of the car, so a bit of 'feathering in' will probably have to be done.

I know t cut brings back original colour but will it take the paint off . Thanks for your reply

just found out it was sprayed with enamel paint

thanks for that yogi I rang the person and its enamel paint that was sprayed on and under neath the sprayed paint there is a handpainted badge which was done professionally so he is a bit worried that might get damaged.

Enamel paint is another story, wendilla.

Personally i would take it to a professional outfit and get them to look at the damage and quote a price for repair.
This is who i use when there is an awkward scratch/paintmark on our cars that wont clean up after T-cut style products used on it. They are reasonable and all work is guaranteed...........best of luck......

You have to know what the 'original' paint is.
Usually Standard Thinners (like bodyshops use) will dissolve the new paint and leave the old untouched. It would just need re-waxing.
I just de-tarred a Renault Megane for someone some the other day with it.
