Are you tightening your belt this year about Christmas?

Or do you say - ' to heck with it' and have a big blow out (as usual?)

I have always bought a Christmas themed book for my kids every year since they were born and we write their name and the year in the front. That means we have some special Christmas stories to read on Christmas Eve - they are getting a bit past that now which I will miss. :o(
Neither tightening or blowing out tis year - kids will still get massively spoilt, but trying to make sure we get best value for everything and cut out the extras that they didn't put on the list and never play with,

I know Bobbi - I have seen those books - should have really got them at some point but a bit late now - my younger son has an unusual first name so never gets any of those ready personalised things.
I felt a bit bad last year, we were having a bit of a clear out and my husband had sent a whole load of books through to my neighbour that he felt were too young for the boys - which is fine, except he had put some of their special Christmas books in the pile and I had to go to my neighbour and ask for them back - she was fine about it, but I did feel a bit guilty. However, they were sentimental to me (if not the kids) and I'd like to have them to give to the boys when they have their own familes.
