If it has a diesel engine, isn't it the glowplug warning/indicator light?

sound like a diesel preheater, if it comes on with the ignition its fine, you should wait til it goes out before actually startnig the engine,  if it comes on while ur driving , then there is something not right, get it checked out, could be a bad wire on the preheaters ( glowplugs)
Yes, if it's a diesel engine, this is the glowplug warning light. As a diesel engine fires by compressing the air/fuel mixture, without the use of a sparkplug in a petrol engine, the glowplugs bring the temperature up to the required level, then the compression alone provides enough heat from then on. You need to turn the key and wait for the light to go out before starting the engine.
