I have just found out that Transport for London are going to enforce the Low Emission Zone more strictly from Jan 2012. This is devestating as my partners van falls foul of this and as we live in the zone would have topay the chage each time we moved the van from the house!
Can't afford a new van, so would have to get a filter fitted. Does anyone know how much this would be likely to cost?

It would surely depend on the van type/engine size, no?
There are only four authorised suppliers of suitable filters. Their telephone numbers and email addresses can be found here:

So a few quick phone calls, or a single duplicated email enquiry, should quickly provide an answer to your question.

I have also had the letter from TFL. The cost of fitting the filter is between £1500-3000. I think this is outrageous and have started a petition against yet another draconian loony eco tax which will inflict more misery on struggling businesses.. the lnk is as follows http://www.ipetitions...emissionszonescandal/
why dont we just pull our pants down with a sign saying slap me hard you slags!!
why dont we all just roll over like a fat dog on wet lino!!!!!!!!!!!1
