Clio - remote key fob

My key fob is becoming more & more temperamental, will work sometimes but not others. Can central lock the car from the button by gear stick. Thinking it might just be the battery on the key fob. How much to replace it & do I have to go to a Renault dealer?

Yes, the range of the remote reduces as the battery loses power. Should be a DIY job when you find out how to get at the battery.

i used to have a laguna and had the same problem you have to be quick when changing the battery,if you're not they key loses the info stored on it.We also got a spare key cut,Renault main dealer and it cost £79 plus vat so hopefully it's just your battery!
