What is the best value satellite navigation system on the market today?

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but will be needing a car Sat Nav system very soon, and not sure which one to get. Is it true that you can put postcodes or landline numbers in them, and then they can find any place from there? Also do not know how much to spend on one, would I be able to get one for around £100, or are they much more than that?

Some help would be appreciated on this matter, as thinking of doing courier work soon, and this would be a must.

Post codes certainly - not sure about land line numbers - I'd be surprised there's restrictions on reverse lookups on phone numbers.

I Bought a Garmin for my father and liked it so much I bought one for myself - that was a couple of years back and I'm still pleased

i agree with the above answer, i have recently bought a garmin sat-nav with blue tooth connection so that i can use it as a hands free kit for my phone, after using a nav-man for a number of years i have recently changed to a garmin and don't think that i will change back, highly recomended !!

Of the top ten sat-navs in Which? , five are Garmin. The cheapest two are Nuvi 205W (£70) and Nuvi 1310 (£100).

I bought a Mio Navman for about £40 on offer in our local Morrisons store late last year and has never let me down, but I am only an occasional user. If you are going to do courier work, I would go for one with bluetooth as nightrunner suggests
