Road Trip - What Camper Van?

Hi,

Next summer, myself and 3 friends are planning a road trip from one end of Britain to the other stopping off at various points of interest.

We're looking to make the journey in a camper van of some sort (i.e. a Bedford CF250) and was hoping you could suggest other vehicles of that nature that will be pretty cheap to purchase from Autotrader, Ebay etc etc.

VW or Vito is only choice for comfort and resale value. Air-Cooled or petrol.
I wouldn't touch a CF with a bargepole. (You good at roadside mechanics?)
