Up north we called them bollards!

I think they call them pylons
collards - Doc - green veg......bit like the colour of Pollards Bollards when they are strangled with heavy-duty elastic bands by his wife, Val.
They wanted to call them traffic cones but they just could not be bollard

Same here, prudie - a bollard is a fixed item of street furniture, not a cone you can put on your head (if you are so minded) :-)
Huh boxy? LOL, well as you've invited me in bollards are fixed cement, traffic cones (witches hats) used to be (in my day) the ultimate trophy of a student bedroom
