G24 Fine For Disabled Parking
I have been given a invoice/fine for not displaying a blue badge, even though I claim it was displayed, I have appealed showing proof that I have a blue badge, but cannot give proof of it being displayed, as the photos they sent did not show the sun visor, where it was displayed on, this has caused lots of health problems for me to the extent that I had an angina attack, the first I'd had for 10 years, the appeal fell on deaf ears and I was told that if I did not pay the £100.00 within the time allowed I would have debt enforcement officers sent to get the money, do I have to pay G24 or not, I feel this is not right to attack the disabled who need these parking spaces, also there are people who park in disabled places, that never get get caught as I was told it's not a criminal offence only a civil one.

This is an unenforceable invoice, not a fine.

Take a photo of the badge on the sun visor and send it to them, telling them again it WAS displayed. If you do not have a digital camera get someone to take the photo for you and download it onto your computer so you can email the photo to them. Do Not Pay! On the rejection letter there will be a note about how to get the appeal looked at again.
Does your vehicle have a dashboard?

Thank you for your replies, however taking a photo doesn't prove that it was shown on the day, nor does their photo prove that it wasn't shown, the car is a smart car, and the reason behind it being on the visor, is that there is no where to store it, (no drawers etc) so it kept on the visor in a clip purpose bought to keep blue badges in, I will wait for the next letter, where I will ask to go to court, as I know it was on show, and will argue this, even if it affects my health?
I got a fixed fine from a traffic warden even though I had my blue badge clearly displayed on my sun visor. The letter stated that even though the badge was clearly displayed the time setting was obscured by the elastic band used to fix the badge to the visor. The moral of the story being always set the clock and display it on the dash where it can be clearly seen.
Sorry, but what part of my reply escaped your attention?
As far as I am aware, G24 have no "official" status whsoever, and usually operate in private car parks for shops etc. They are not fines and not enforceable, they assume people will be gullible and pay. You have no need to worry at all, just ignore it. Google G24 yourself if you don't believe me.
You blue badge has no bearing whatsover. IF, AND IT IS A BIG IF, this was say on a council car park, then contact the authority department direct if you are worried, but I strongly suspect this happened on a private car park where G24 are contracted to "scare" punters.
seriously, ignore and don't worry at all.

Postdog is right – ignore the demand.
A private company similar to G24 tried to have me for parking on a road near John Lennon Airport. I wasn’t actually parked but had stopped to answer my mobile phone.
The funny thing was they were offering me something like a 20% discount for early payment!
G24 will doubtless send you a couple more demands, but just bin them – they have no powers.

There is NO dash board on a smart car so the badge could not be displayed on the dash. I have checked the wording on our blue badge (newly issued) and it says the badge must be displayed 'clearly visible in the front of the car' so the sun visor would be fine.
Hyten has already appealed the invoice so the advice to ignore the letters are too late.
Hyten I would suggested at first and send a photo of the sun visor with the badge , they have to prove it was not there which they can not do.

I have just found myself in a similar situation, fined by G24, I suffer from fibromyalgia along with other physically disabling conditions, fibromyalgia has the effect of what is known as brain fog, memory severely effected at times, I honestly cannot recall whether or not I displayed my badge they say I didn't if that is so I'm sure it is the first time as I'm always so aware of it, my question is should I appeal to G24, I am too afraid to ignore it but am unable to afford the £100 fine, I do have a current blue badge, and this was on a private retail car park, I would be grateful for any help anyone can give me please.
