Vehicle Seizure By Bailiffs
was watching a program on you tube where the police were pulling over cars with outstanding parking tickets using ANPR then letting the bailiffs deal with it. one bailiff said "its this particular car we're after reguardless of who's driving it" with no mention of it's registration number whatsoever. My question is if you amass a year's tickets on say an old ford with a personal plate then change that to a jag the police have stopped the number plate, not the car can they impound the jag?or was it just a bad choice of words by the bailiff?

Also it sounds dodgy to me, it is the driver that incurs the ticket in that car, if the car is sold for example, again the current owner will be able to show the paper trail to demonstrate they have not incurred the ticket.
