Need to hire a people carrier for a couple of days.
Rang up a local firm who gave me a quote of £115 per day. Looking on there website the same vehicle is advertised at £95 per day.
Having worked in the car hire business, Im well aware of hidden charges etc so went through the details while on the phone with them.

Can they legally charge more than what is advertised on their website?
Am going down later today to pay deposit etc as I really need this vehicle (and cant get one from elsewhere for the days needed).

Would just like to know my facts before doing so.
Thanks.

Do you have to order the car via the website to get the cheaper rate? Like other online ordering, it might be cheaper than going in store to pay.

Thanks for reply rocky.
Managed to pop into their office today...turns out the chump on the phone yesterday was quoting me a 15 seater minibus price!!
As an aside, I've just had a car for 4 weeks from Enterprise and their service was faultless.

Worth knowing zacs thanks, recommendations always useful.
I worked in the car hire business years ago and it was a right rip off firm, so always wary about hiring from someone who ive never hired from before.
Got a local firm that I regularly hire from if needs be but fully booked on the dates that I need at the mo.
