Laptop Camera Problem.

TOGO....Thank you so much for taking time to find and send link to me...but doesn't help....can't find CAMERA on action nbar and don't know what TOGGLE is or where ....HP Assistant sent god page but things they say and pictures don't have on my new laptop....think when typing hit a key by accident and took cam away....if you come up with anything else...kind of you...someone said camera 7th icon from right does't seem so...but thank you very much for your time.

This happens almost every week on my laptop when I want to use Skype. For some reason camera is  suddenly disabled when no changes have been made. Only way I have found to get it back is to do a shut down, wait a while then restart. This usually resolves issue and camera is back on and working. If it is not I do a forced shut down by pressing and holding down the on button then start it up again and let laptop do a reboot.

Just a though is it an hp notebook you are using? if so there is a little privacy switch on the side(right hand I think) of the case. You need to slide this away from the camera icon. Here is a picture of where the keyboard shutter switch is located on a laptop.

The toggle switch can also be next to the camera. The camera is the litle aperture at the top of an open laptop above the screen.

Hello  to everyone who tried to solve my problem...many thanks but black scree with cam and line through still there....this laptop is new only month old...last was a Acer and this is  an HP PAVILLION Laptop 16-ag0000 and is so different to other....I have nothing round sides all smooth apart from usb and charge outlet...am at wits end as want to cam with friends and been off for a week now...did as one person said ...press down on start button and when back thiers was fine...didn't happen with me...so am asking again ..Please is there any more help out there...Thank you
