Do people largely ignore rules regarding yellow box junctions?

Or am I just imagining it? It certainly seems to me nowadays that drivers don't seem bothered about keeping them clear. I now regularly see, or am caught up in, tailbacks caused by drivers who end up stuck in the middle of the box junctions.

Someone told me there are camera traps for this but is this true?

Quite true, I have regularly been beeped at by drivers behind me as I am waiting for the road ahead of the Box Junction to clear before going ahead. These idiots clearly don't know the rules regarding Box Junctions. At all the Box Junctions I have seen there are cameras but I don't know if any of them work or are just there for show.

Mainly that you don't enter it unless it's clear enough ahead for you to remain clear of the box.

Most problems at box junctions are caused by driver igorance.
All rules regarding box junctions are clearly stated in the Highway Code.

In all honesty, how many of you drivers have read the Highway Code within the last year?

No, not many drivers ignore the rules, they don't even know the rules.

At least I had it half-right. My main point is that too many drivers just enter the box regardless, treating it as if it's not there, when their position means they should wait.
