road speeds

with todays technology why have they not introduced a system that prevents vehicles exceeding a speed limit for every road by means of a sender in the road sign and a receiver in the vehicle. would you say it's too expensive or easier to fine motorists. how much is the cost of a life?

Also, standards to continue to drive should/could be checked more frequently than once (the initial driving test).
Such things as driving on roads other than urban centres should be included in the driving test. Also, tests to see the extent to which a driver can retain control in the event of a skid etc�and so forth�
This would KILL (etc) fewer people with the one approach. Roads would be come less congested and those that are LEGALLY driving would be required to drive to and maintain higher standards. Much like the vehicle itself needs to be tested annually (in the UK), I�d advocate that drivers should be tested more frequently than once and required to be able to things more tricky than merely reversing round a corner!!!
