I want to know if I have to pay, here's the scenario:

The office I work at is on a road literally on part of the cc border, very annoying. Anyway, if I get onto that road before 7am, park there, and leave after 6:30 pm, do I still have to pay?

If you had had the sense to look at the question posted before yours you would have seen an answer there that links to the official site that explains everything.

I have already visited the cc London website. I know how it works, I pay the charge myself!

And I saw the previous post, do you think I'm am that stupid.

I am asking a specific question Toureman, if you know the answer, state it, if you don't, don't reply.
If youve parked on a public road inside the Zone, between 7.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, you have to pay, even if you dont move the vehicle - link

If you have driven or parked on a public road in the Charging Zone during charging hours ( 7.00 am and 6.30 pm) and haven't paid the Congestion Charge by midnight on the following charging day after the day of travel, your vehicle will be identified by the cameras and you will be sent a Penalty Charge Notice - link
Sorry aurora, don't get ratty, if you had looked at the site properly you would see that there is a section there where you can contact them and ask.

I found that, thats why I answered.
Toureman, i think aurora may have got the impretion you were having a dig.
the line "if you had the sence to look" would offend most of us.

Cheers for the answers!

Makes sense that no matter what you are doing, if your in the zone, you pay.

And sorry for getting defensive, I just find it annoying when you ask a question on forum to get help and some smart alec has a pop, and doesn't even leave you an answer. Its happened on others.
Hi aurora,

I got an answer back from the London Congestion site today.

If your car is parked on the road you will have to pay the charge having driven in before the charge starts and driven out after the charge.

If it is parked off the road, ie private poperty or car park you will not be charged.
However... If a camera doesn't see your number plate, how are they to know you were in there.
I've never actually driven into the zone, so I'm not sure how prevalent the cameras are.
It's a ****** that they're including the A40 roundabout in the extension. Means I'm gonna have to go round Shepherds Bush Green now which is a nightmare at the best of times!
