I have heard recently that people under the age of 18 (with a full licence) are not allowed to drive on the motorway unaccompanied. Is this true?

no !, when one has achieved ones licence (passed the test) one can drive on the motorway !
but i think they are trying to bring in several laws like it in the near future.
There are no laws like ths being put to parliment at the moment however serious consideration is being given to a graduated driver licence where compulsory motorway tuition will be included.
