You will get fined for having no road tax but no points. Insurance is a different matter. Surely you have a certificate to show when your cover started.
if you are not insured, you will get 6 pts and that will mean you lose you licence and have to resit both tests again.
Did you not print off the insurance. must have been a
e-mail stating that you bought one from the company?
Ive always get one. Then again if you paid by card it will shown up.
you will get fined for having no insurance and prob a 6mth to 1 year ban from driving.

If you had insurance before you drove the car you will just get the fine for no tax.

When your insurance arrived from the company you should have produced it at a police station within 7 days, did you? there is not a legal requirement to carry your insurance certificate in the car.
I may be wrong but I was led to believe that if your car isn't taxed and therefore not fully legal to drive, then your insurance is void anyhow.
