1997 catagory b license van driving

Can you drive a Transit van on a cat b license, I know the weight limit is 3.5tons however looking on dvla website it says car and not van?

the transit falls within the weight limit.

Yes you can.
The information with my new driving license is headed cars for class B, but uses Motor Vehicle in the text. You can drive anything under 3.5 tons, but only a trailer of 750Kg.

Remember everbody if you have a tow hitch on a vehicle that can tow with a combined wieght of over 3.5 tons then it must have a tacho fitted.
