Unfortunately i already know i am at fault for a acident i had at 3am this morning. but now i want to know what are the possible outcomes, the police i spoke to at the scene said that there is very little evidence so chances are i will hear nothing of it, but said there is the possibility of being charged for driving with undue care and attention. Thankfully nobody was hurt in the acident but just my car was destroyed when i hit the back of a lorry

a basic summary of what happened is i was driving down the motorway, went to overtake a lorry and a lorry that was on the other side of the motorway had its lights on full beam or something but i got a massive dose of glare from my windscreen that startled me and i crossed the lane into the back of the truck. Basicly what i want to know is what are the possible outcomes if i do get charged and found guilty of this (as in fines, points, driving bans etc)

The penalty is 3 - 9 points endorsed on the licence, with a maximum fine of up to 2500 and a discretionary ban..

Those are the very maximum penalties.
I think the magistrates guideline fine is a category B which equates to a week take home pay.
