Vehicles now have to be continuously taxed or declared off-road (SORN).

If you allow a vehicle onto a public road without tax, or use it when it has been declared off-road you are committing an offence. The fact that it is being towed is not relevant.

Similarly to use a vehicle that needs an MoT certificate without one is also an offence. Use includes being towed.

These rules apply to all roads, including motorways.
The only way to transport it is on a trailer or transporter.
Presumably if there is no tax or MOT it has no insurance either?
Not necessarily.

Whilst you cabbot get tax without insurance or MoT, you can get insurance without either of the other two.

Nonetheless, the "trilogy" of offences is more usual than to have just one of the three.
And, of course, it would be better with "cannot" rather than "cabbot" !!!!
As Meat Loaf would say, two out of three ain't bad (except it is)
highway code forbids towing of vehicles on motorway

as answered previously vehicle should be on a trailer

no tax and insurance required then
