DVLA endorsments

I was convicted in court of an MS90 (Failure to give information as to identity of driver) in May 2007 and given a �300 fine and 3 penalty points.

This took my endorsements tally to 9 points as i have previously had 6 points for speeding (due to come off next year!)

I sent off my driving licence as per the court and it was returned to me with a hand written 9 points on my licence.

I subsequently lost my paper licence so applied for a replacement one a few weeks ago (Feb 08) and when it arrived it only had the 6 speeding points on there and not the additional 3 for the MS90. I rang DVLA up and asked them to check the points and they have subsequently confirmed on 2 seperate conversations that I only have 6 points on their system.

Should I:
(1) Own up to DVLA and say there seems to be a problem with your system
(2) Tell them what has happened and ask them to advise
(3) Just keep quiet?

I also have a dilema as my insurance is now due in a couple of days and they are asking me if I have any further endorsements other than the 6 points for speeding, what should I do and where do I stand in terms of the law?

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Personally I would take option 3.

Remember that those administering the system, keeping track of motoring convictions, are employed by the same people who will be administering the National ID system we are all yet to sign up to.

Just like DLVA, I predict this will be a complete ****-up.
