Waiting for points and court action, but how long?

I missed my deadline for paying and fix penelty notice on �60 and 3 points. I got a letter to say it will be passed to the court and i will have to defend myself here. This was now back in January (original inciedent was in september 07) and i have not heared anything. How long do i wait or do i just keep quite and hope it just passes by?????????

As Norman says, it could take up to six months. However, you will no longer be charged with speeding, but with failing to give the driver�s details. This now carries a minimum of six penalty points and a fine of about one and a half week�s net income (reduced by a third if you plead guilty) plus about �60 costs and �15 Victim Surcharge.

All in all quite an expensive oversight!

It is possible that Mr Sleepy did send back the first form, where you either admit you are the driver, or give the details of who was driving, and then got the fixed penalty notice and it was that that was ignored.

Hello. Yes i did admit to being the driver but post dated my check as i did ot have funds in the bank to pay the fine. They sent it back saying this was no good.

A plank I work with didn't tax his car and was sent a fine.

He ignored it and never heard anything more!

Very annoying 'cos we were all pleased when he was fined.

3 points and �60 for the speeding and a possible 3 more and �60 more for not nominating the driver of the car on the form.
I went to court for that and got 4 points and �100.
