Ladyalex, you have redeemed yourself in a spectacular manner. I tried anagrams from in camel but certainly didn't come up with cnemial. That solves 14d too.

Merlinius, the answer to 14d. was cud. I had the u and d but couldn't think that the c would come from 14a. which it did, thanks to ladyalex.

19d. isn't dory because have ?r?a and I'm sure these letters are correct. Thanks for your interest.

I had typed a reply to both Merlinius and Sarumite but I couldn't get it to go on the web page. However, Sarumite, I believe it is proa. I was thinking of a boat for one person whereas your answer shows 'for one'.
Merlinius, we have both learned something today as I didn't know either that cnemial was connected to the shin bone.
