I was involved in an accident and the right turning vehicle from the main road into the minor road represents me and the other right turn vehicle from the minor give way road is the 3rd party.
The 3rd party is disputing liability. I have sent my insurers some detailed diagrams of before during and after impact, also some photos of the junction a day later with some reference examples of how the traffic was placed at time of accident.
Now the 3rd party is claiming I hit them, I can only imagine they are saying I must have cut the corner. The damage to my vehicle is within the rear quarter and door (3 door vehicle) Would the damage help the insurers to show who was at fault?

Sorry, but your description of the incident/road layout has confused me a bit. Are you saying you have turned from a major road into a side road and collided with a stationary third party, or are you alleging they pulled out into the side of you?

In regards to the damage, all this can realistically show is who was moving at the time of the alleged incident in these cases.
In this situation the car in the minor road should wait for the one on the major road to turn.

so did he wait for you? if so did you hit him whilst turning? if so 100% your fault

did he not wait and and collided as you turned ? Thes his fault.

I turned into the side road and he crossed give way lines too hit me in the side near the rear. He alleges I hit him.
My question is would it be possible to tell who is at fault by the damage position on my car?
Think you're going to struggle without any independent witnesses in all honesty - unless the other party confirms that they had pulled across the white line (rather than being stationary), then it's going to be 50/50 at best
If they moved it's their fault but as gould says all but impossible to prove. The damage would not indicate exactly how it orginated.
