What is the point of that type of roundabout (usually mini roundabouts) where the section that you would normally take up to turn right, is marked off with a red surface, stopping you from taking up the right hand lane.

It helps the traffic flow ( Thats what they think)

I cannot see the logic of that. It forces you to keep in the left lane, thus slowing down traffic in that lane
When local authorities are planning roundabouts, traffic lights, vehicle flow etc., logic goes out the window. I think they employ numpties for this purpose. JD
