Will the DVL inform him, Does he have to send it in? How will it show he's clear now. Does he have to phone someone?
Help someone.....

If it was 14/02/2005, they must stay on for a further year, although they are no longer valid for totting-up purposes. Other than that, nothing will happen. If he wants to get them actually removed, he can send in his licence and apply for a new one. That will cost him. The vast majority of people don't bother doing anything. Any police officer asking to see his licence in future won't take spent convictions into consideration before deciding whether to proceed with a prosecution (Or that's what they tell us).
